Privacy policy (prototype)
This is a prototype privacy policy that describes the services actually in the site today. It will be reviewed and completed before any public launch.
Prototype draft
What the site does with your inputs
- The card selector keeps your two answers in your browser’s memory only. They are lost when you refresh or leave the page.
- The utilization and payoff calculators run in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to our servers or stored by the application.
- “Explain my results” produces a rule-based explanation in your browser. No AI provider is used and nothing is sent out.
- We do not ask for your name, email, Social Security number, date of birth, income, exact credit score or bank account details.
What we do not use
- No advertising or marketing cookies and no advertising tracking pixels.
- No newsletter or lead capture.
- No user accounts or database.
- We do not check credit reports.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used, such as which pages are visited. Google Analytics may set cookies or similar identifiers and receive technical information like IP address, browser and pages viewed. The numbers you type into the selector and calculators are not sent to Google Analytics. See Google’s privacy policy for how Google handles this data. This section is a prototype draft pending legal review, and a cookie notice or consent option may be added before public launch.
Hosting and technical logs
Like most websites, the service that hosts this site can process standard technical request information, such as IP address, browser type, requested page and time, for security and operations. Apart from Google Analytics, the application does not add its own tracking, and we do not control the hosting provider’s logs and cannot say that no data is collected at all.
Fonts are served from this site, not from a third-party font service.
External links
Links to other sites, such as the CFPB or the FTC, lead to services with their own privacy practices. Check their policies before sharing information.
If features change
If we add optional AI explanations, further analytics, affiliate links or any form that collects information, we will update this policy first and tell you what values would be shared and with whom before you use that feature.
